Abstract - Sense-amplifiers are required elements in any transducer system. Every transducer, however, has different electrical parameters, and each transducer system has different target specifications. By judicial choice of sense-amplifier architecture, the transducer system can be optimized. This paper surveys a number of sense-amplifier architectures and shows the relationship between architecture and system performance.
